AED Resuscitation Training
Instructor: Training is carried out by a registered Irish Heart Foundation Instructor.
Duration: 1 day
Max No: 8 participants per course
Course Content: This course is run according to Irish Heart Foundation standards using multimedia presentations and allows participants practice with A.E.D. equipment in training mode. Participants will be trained to develop a very high standard of C.P.R. and be given various scenarios involving the use of the A.E.D. with particular regard to safety. At the end of the course there will be a written examination as well as practical assessments.
Registration: All successful participants will be registered with the Irish Heart Foundation. Note: This training will need to be revalidated every three months, groups of 10-12 can be revalidated in one day.
(Handouts, all necessary materials and lunch are provided for students and signed training records are maintained.)
SAFETY REPRESENTATIVES
Who should attend: Appointed Safety Representatives and Health and Safety Committee members
Duration: 3 Days
Presenters: Delivered by professionally qualified Occupational Health and Safety practitioners who have had practical experience as a Safety Representative.
Details: This programme is designed in compliance with the Health and Safety Authority requirements to enable Safety Representatives to perform their duties. It conforms to current Regulations and emphasises both the importance of Health and Safety in the work place and the communication of health and safety matters throughout an organisation.
Objectives: To know and understand current Health and Safety legislation;
To understand the role and function of both a Safety Representative and/or member of a Safety Committee within the organisation;
To understand the requirements of a safety statement;
To prevent, assess and investigate workplace accidents.
Awards: The certificate awarded complies with all requirements under current Health and Safety Legislation.
Lunch included
